From the Kennedy Center to the Library of Congress to Hearts For Heroes United States Spring Fundraiser
Actor and Producer Douglas Taurel will present his Award Nominated Off Broadway Solo Show, The American Soldier at the Hearts For Heroes United States Spring Fundraiser.
On April 28th, 2018, Douglas Taurel, actor and creator of the acclaimed Award Nominated solo show The American Soldier, will be performing at the H4HUS Spring Fundraiser at the Historical Hall in Bedford, New York at 7pm.
THE AMERICAN SOLDIER has been nominated for the Amnesty International Award for theatre excellence, received 4 stars internationally, been featured in
The Huffington Post, The Washington Post and Time Out to name a few and was performed at The Kennedy Center during inauguration weekend at the Library of Congress on Veterans day of 2017.
It is based on real events and actual letters written by veterans and their family members from the American Revolution all the way through current day Afghanistan. It honors the experiences of veterans and their families, and explores the internal struggles they face when returning home from combat.
After the performance we will hear from veterans who have participated in, and benefitted from our equine and canine-assisted therapy programs. There will be hors d’oeuvres, beer, & wine. There is very limited access, tickets are $100.00.
